We understand mandatory Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training can get old, stale, annoying, difficult, etc. To that end, the Utah Credit Union Association would like to introduce lots of BSA training resources for 2022.

Online Training

Our online training consists of recorded webinars that can be viewed and class materials that can be downloaded at a student’s leisure:

• Staff training includes separate modules for General, Front Line and Accounts (loan and deposit) so that training can be customized depending on an employee’s job duties.
• Volunteer training is for Boards of Directors and Supervisory Committees that focus specifically on their BSA duties.

Credit Union Training Nights

Our Winter/Spring 2022 Credit Union training nights will focus on BSA for volunteers. These training nights do have a modest fee, but dinner is included.  Save the date, and look for registration information soon:

• February 16: Northern Utah
• February 23: Salt Lake County
• March 2: Utah County
• March 9: Eastern Utah

Dues Supported Training

We also provide BSA training for staff and volunteers as a dues-supported service.  Heather can come to your offices or arrange a Zoom meeting. Give her a call.

BSA Training for BSA Staff

Have your BSA staff join us for FREE, in depth BSA training. Our four-hour BSA class is scheduled for April 21, 2022.  Training will be in person at the UCUA offices or via Zoom. Look out for an invitation later this quarter. (email Heather to be added to the compliance email list)

Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designation

This certification offered by CUNA is for credit union BSA staff. Staff will need to attend a CUNA event (in-person or online) to obtain the designation.  Click here for more information.
