2023 Year in Review

As we look back on this year, the things we’ve been able to accomplish together prove to make this year another one for the books! It’s an honor to work with each of you and provide aid, resources, training and networking. Looking back, here’s a snippet of what we were able to accomplish this year:

  • Stopped a banker attack on credit unions in the state legislature.
  • Participated as a CUNA board member/league president in merger talks of CUNA and NAFCU.
  • Hosted 196 people at our yearly Volunteer Summit.
  • Fielded 409 questions at the compliance help desk, spending 127 hours answering questions.
  • Continued to build relationships with many of Utah’s State and Federal legislators.
  • Consulted with, trained on, and fielded questions from 75 percent of Utah credit unions on a variety of operational topics.
  • Visited the Federal delegation members in their DC offices five times.
  • Provided a series of 11 compliance classes, covering critical and emerging compliance topics.
  • Hosted 30 events this year.
  • Proctored exams and provided coaching to assist credit union employees obtaining professional compliance certifications.
  • Provided network and training to 648 attendees at our CU Summit.
  • Provided Bank Secrecy Act training directly to credit union Boards of Directors and staff.
  • Hosted three Ignite Leadership classes with 120 attendees – new this year!

We’ve had a great year charging forward in this cause. Each of you is what sets the credit union industry apart, and we’re honored to be in this movement with you!
