Starting in April, the Utah Credit Union Association will expand efforts to gather credit union professionals for a series of round tables focused on distinct operational areas.
Association President/CEO Scott Simpson: “People who come from banks to credit unions are almost always impressed our industry’s collaborative spirit. Getting together to share ideas and help solve each others’ problems—that’s in the credit union DNA. It’s time for a new generation of Utah credit union professionals to experience more of that.”
Called @Lunch Networking, the round tables will initially take place at the Association office. Discussion will be moderated by Association staff, with a few topics to lead off, then an open forum to discuss whatever else attendees have on their mind. Participants will enjoy a lunch at no cost.
“Connection. Engagement. A network of peers,” said Stephen Nelson, EVP, credit union support, “Those are what people cite as one of the best benefits of WCMS. Good news: you don’t have to go to WCMS for all of that. You can do that right at home, with a little time spent to gather with the people all around us.”
