The Staff Salary Report 2026–2027 has been posted!

Published each year by America’s Credit Unions, this report provides Utah credit union leaders with compensation benchmarks designed to help attract top talent, build competitive pay structures, and optimize budget planning.

Based on compensation data effective January 1, 2026, this year’s staff salary survey synthesizes feedback from over 930 participating credit unions. Compensation figures (base pay, variable pay, and total cash) are weighted by asset size and employee role to reflect what the average credit union employee earns in each position.

Because competitive pay varies by location and complexity, executive teams can analyze salary tables across multiple custom variables, including:

  • Asset size and membership. Compare pay structures directly against true peer institutions.
  • Geographic multipliers. Adjust baseline figures using regional multipliers to match local cost-of-living conditions.
  • Operational footprint. View benchmark compensation based on service offerings, ranging from digital banking and business loans to mortgages and financial planning.

In addition to job-specific pay tables, the report includes operational guidelines to help leadership teams establish clear wage bands and incentive structures.

Credit union executives, board members, and human resources leaders are encouraged to review this benchmark report to assess their wage competitiveness in the labor market for 2026 and beyond.
